University of Kentucky Go-Live Success
University of Kentucky partnered with StarRez to implement
a complete Undergraduate, Graduate and Family Housing and
Conference software solution for a diverse configuration of
6500 beds. The implementation was the smoothest the UK staff
had ever been involved in. StarRez broad and diverse customer
base gave them the ability to share with us best practices
from many other institutions.
StarRez provided professional remote server setup, data conversion
from our former system, the interface to SAP Financials, onsite
training, and stayed with us onsite through the go-live. The
UK staff were relieved to be able to focus on using the new
system and streamlining processes, while StarRez took care
of the system configuration. The next phase will include a
complete set of online tools for student self service for
applications, contracts, online deposit payments, roommate
searching/selection, single sign-on and more.

We needed a product that could accommodate 3 different types
of business processes with Undergraduate, Family and Graduate
and Conferences. StarRez has delivered. They quietly worked
behind the scenes setting up the application on the servers
and converting, cleaning and importing our data. We literally
turned off one system, trained on StarRez for a couple of
days, went back to our offices and started using StarRez.
The training was comprehensive and the project manager set
side by side with us during go-live. He was able to answer
questions immediately and if we encountered a bigger challenge
he typically had it resolved by the next morning. StarRez
truly follows through with their promise of being a business
partner. The flexibility and reporting in StarRez continues
to impress us. We no longer have to pay inflated prices to
have a vendor create reports for us to get our own data. We
feel confident that we can successfully report on any data
we put in the system ourselves. Currently we are working on
expanding our use of the system to online tools. We're excited
about offering these new services to our students and confident
that StarRez will work closely with us to make it a success."
